Victoria Atkins
BSc (Hons) MSc - Training Consultant
Victoria graduated from the University of York in 2003 with a BSc in Psychology and a great deal of voluntary experience of working with behaviourally challenging children and adults. She went on to spend a year working with the long term unemployed and socially disaffected groups delivering a range of confidence building and motivational training courses designed to assist them back into employment.
When this project came to an end, Victoria returned to full-time study at the University of Edinburgh to undertake an MSc in Performance Psychology and learn about the principles of effective performance in a variety of domains including business, sport and the performing arts.
Victoria joined the team at ATC in 2005 as a Learning & Development Consultant and quickly became a key member of the soft skills training team delivering training solutions to organisations such as Coca Cola, Unilever, Crown Relocations, Sesame, Threshers Group, Hallmark Cards and Emerald Publishing.
In 2008 she completed another MSc, this time in Occupational Psychology and is now an Occupational Psychologist practitioner in training working towards chartered status.
Also in 2008, Victoria took over management of the Training Team and is now Director of Learning & Development with responsibility for all of the training that ATC deliver. She is also a licensed Life Orientations practitioner and a registered Institute of Leadership & Management tutor.
In addition to her professional interests, Victoria is a very serious Cox for one of Britain's top rowing clubs and has also represented the Scottish rowing team internationally. She has recently coxed teams to victory in all of the top women's rowing events in the UK and at the Home Countries International Regatta. When not on the water, Victoria loves skiing, surfing and has recently discovered ballroom dancing.
