Head of Risk Management Services

Matthew's experience involves working in risk management and health and safety roles across a number of industries, including retail, logistics and distribution, healthcare and the police service.

During these roles he has been actively involved in key areas of risk management, including health and safety management, policy and management system implementation, union consultation, inspection and advice, auditing, health and safety training, and contractor appraisal and management.

Since joining Associated Training and Consultancy, Matthew has been involved in designing and delivering training and consultancy work, including the delivery of accredited health and safety courses from the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH), NEBOSH Certificate qualifications and National Vocational Qualifications (NVQs) in Health and Safety. Matthew's client portfolio includes major international organisations, and small to medium sized enterprises. He has also worked extensively with local and national public authorities.

Matthew has a relaxed training style, which encourages delegates to learn new skills through involvement and participation, with a focus on how these new skills practically relate back to the workplace.

As head of risk management services he is responsible for the management and leadership of the health, safety, environment, quality and management development consultancy and training teams within the business.

His qualifications in this area include the NVQ Level 4 in Occupational Health and Safety Practice; the NEBOSH General Certificate; the NEBOSH Fire Certificate; the NEBOSH Construction Certificate; the IEMA Environmental Certificate from the University of Bath; the City and Guilds 7303 - Lifelong Learning Teaching Certificate; and the City and Guilds 1886 - Conflict Management Teaching Certificate.

Matthew is a Chartered Safety and Health Practitioner holding Chartered Membership of the Institution of Occupational Safety & Health (CMIOSH); Membership of the Royal Society for Public Health (MRSPH); Membership of the International Institute of Risk and Safety Management (MIIRSM) and Associate Membership of the Institute of Environmental Management and Assessment (AIEMA).
