Health and Safety Consultant

Les has recently joined the team and brings over 20 years health and safety experience to Associated Training and Consultancy. Les will be working with the existing team to deliver training and provide health and safety consultancy services to existing and new clients.

Les has worked in, and provided services to, a variety of industries including manufacturing, food processing, exhibitions, financial sector, charities, extractive and contracting companies, civil engineering, construction and house building/management. This has involved delivering a diverse range of health and safety training, from clients' bespoke training requirements to accredited courses.

He has worked for many major clients during his career including Pilkington Glass, Carlsberg Tetley, Whitbread, Cadburys, Earls Court, Wembley, McCains, Princes Trust, WRG, Marconi/Telent, Tarmac, ABP, Carillion, and many others. Consultancy projects have included CDM, contractor management, risk management systems and advising clients on health and safety issues.

He has developed his own distinctive training style during his career and is always looking to embrace new concepts and techniques. He has delivered courses all over the UK and has also trained overseas. Primarily delivering NEBOSH, IOSH and CITB material, Les has been able to achieve a high pass rate for attendees.

Possessing the NEBOSH Construction Certificate, the NEBOSH General Certificate, the CITB Site Manager Safety Training Scheme (SMSTS) qualification, and PTLLLS teaching certificate, in addition to other relevant qualifications and skills, Les is able to provide a professional and approachable service to all of Associated Training and Consultancy's clients. He is also a qualified Lead Auditor in OHSAS 18001 Health and Safety Management System.

Les is a Technician Member of IOSH and an Associate Member of the Institute for Learning. He is currently working towards membership of IEMA.
