This course is designed to provide participants with the skills and knowledge required to implement an environmental management system conforming to ISO 14001, in order to effectively manage their organisation's environmental risks and ensure compliance with legislation.
The course aims to provide delegates with the skills and knowledge required to implement an environmental management system to control significant risks, ensure compliance with relevant legislation and to meet the requirements of ISO 14001 environmental management standard.
The course will cover:
- Environmental legislation
- Assessment of environmental aspects
- Pollution prevention
- Emission control
- Statutory nuisance
- Waste management
- Emergency procedures
- Environmental management systems and ISO 14001
- Internal environmental auditing
On completion of this course delegates will be able to identify the relevant environmental legislation, assess the organisation's activities that will have a significant impact upon the environment and implement an environmental management system.
