Who should attend?

The CITB Site Supervisors' Safety Training Scheme (SSSTS) course is for those who have, or are about to acquire, supervisory responsibilities on a construction site.

Aims and Objectives

At the end of the course delegates should be able to:

Understand the health, safety, welfare and environmental issues relevant to their work activities
Understand their legal responsibilities relevant to their work activities
Safely supervise activities on a construction site

Key topics of the SSSTS course include:

The Health and Safety at Work etc. Act 1974 and relevant regulations

Identification of specific site issues including CoSHH and Work at Height etc.

Tool Box talks

Control of subcontractors

Health related issues

Duration

The course will be delivered over two days.

Certification

Delegates who successfully complete the projects and assessment are awarded the Construction Skills (CITB) Site Supervisors' Safety Training Scheme certificate

During the course projects are undertaken in groups and constantly assessed by the tutor. At the conclusion of the course delegates are required to undertake a short multiple choice assessment. Delegates who successfully complete the projects and assessment are awarded the Construction Skills (CITB) Site Supervisors Safety Training Scheme certificate.
