Aims and Objectives
This course is approved by the Institution of Occupational Safety & Health (IOSH) and is intended for Directors, Executive Officers and Senior Managers who wish to raise awareness of their Health & Safety responsibilities. The course also covers the Institute of Directors and Turnbull Report documentation and procedures, and includes bespoke exercise scenarios.

- Loss management
- The role of directors and senior leaders
- Corporate Governance
- The cost of failing to manage Health and Safety
- Principles of effective health and safety management
- Strategic implementation of Health and Safety
Who should attend?
Directors, Executive Officers and Senior Managers - the course is valid across all industry sectors. This course is intended for larger organisations (for small to medium sized enterprises the IOSH Directing Safely course would be more appropriate).
Course Material
Each delegate will be issued with a workbook to assist them both during and after the course - this workbook will contain information, guidance and forms to assist directors and senior leaders. The course is designed to be interactive, allowing delegates the opportunity to develop their skills with the support of the course tutor.
Course Tutor
Our health and safety consultants are qualified and experienced professionals with an appropriate background in risk management. All consultants hold professional membership of the chartered Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH).
Duration
The course will be delivered over one day.
Certification
At the conclusion of the course delegates are required to undertake a short multiple choice assessment and short project. Delegates who successfully complete the assessments at the end of the course are awarded the IOSH Certificate in Safety for Senior Executives.
