This course is designed to provide participants with the skills and knowledge required to implement a safety management system to a recognised health and safety standard such as OHSAS 18001 or HS(G) 65, in order to effectively manage their organisation's risks and ensure compliance with legislation.
The course will cover:
- Health and Safety legislation
- Developing a Health and Safety policy
- Organising for safety
- Accident reporting, investigation and analysis
- Hazard reporting and identification
- Risk assessment and control
- Emergency procedures
- Monitoring performance
- Safety management systems: OHSAS 18001 and HS(G) 65 internal auditing
On completion of this course delegates will be able to identify the relevant Health and Safety legislation; develop and produce an effective health and safety policy for their organisation; implement a safety management system conforming to OHSAS 18001 and/or HS(G) 65 Health and Safety standards; plan, programme and carry out internal audits to measure their organisation's performance in managing risk and complying with legislation.
