This course is designed to provide participants with the skills and knowledge required to implement an environmental management system conforming to ISO 14001, in order to effectively manage their organisation's environmental risks and ensure compliance with legislation.

The course will cover:

  • Environmental legislation
  • Assessment of environmental aspects
  • Pollution prevention
  • Emission control
  • Statutory nuisance
  • Waste management
  • Emergency procedures
  • Environmental management systems and ISO 14001
  • Internal environmental auditing

On completion of this course delegates will be able to identify the relevant environmental legislation, assess the organisation's activities that will have a significant impact upon the environment and implement an environmental management system.

Course Material

Each delegate will be issued with a workbook to assist them both during and after the course - this workbook will contain information, guidance and forms to assist managers. The course is designed to be interactive, allowing delegates the opportunity to develop their skills with the support of the course tutor.

Course Tutor

Our environmental consultants are qualified and experienced professionals with a background in delivering engaging training. All consultants hold membership of the Institute of Environmental Management and Assessment (IEMA).

Course Duration

The course will be delivered over one day.
