This course is designed to give those with fire warden or fire marshall responsibility a sound footing in the process and procedures required. We introduce delegates to the risk from fire, the relevant legal framework and current HSE recommended best practice, as well as in-house company procedures. It will also be beneficial for others who may be nominated as deputies/alternates.

  • The legal requirements - Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order
  • Fire chemistry and behaviour
  • Area evacuation procedures
  • Dealing with "vulnerable persons" - the use of Personal Emergency Evacuation Plans
  • Reporting procedure
  • Current HSE/IFE best practice


    • Course Material

    Each delegate will be issued with a workbook to assist them both during and after the course will contain information and guidance. The Fire Warden/Fire Marshall course is designed to be interactive, allowing delegates the opportunity to develop their skills with the support of the course tutor.

    Course Tutor

    Our health and safety consultants are qualified and experienced professionals with a background in fire safety and risk management, as well as delivering engaging health and safety training. All consultants hold professional membership of the chartered Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH).

    Course Duration

    The course will be delivered over either a half day or one day, depending upon the depth and level of knowledge required.

    Certification

    Delegates will be awarded a certificate of attendance upon successful completion of the course.
