This two-day fire safety training course has been designed to help you comply with the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 which states that it is now compulsory for organisations to conduct a fire risk assessment. The target audience for this course is facilities managers, health and safety professionals and fire officers responsible for the practical implementation of the Fire Safety Order within their organisation.

Key modules include: -

  • Background to fire safety legislation
  • The principles of fire risk assessment (using the DCLG 5 step approach)
  • Typical sources of ignition
  • The spread and nature of fire
  • Fire risk preventative and protective measures
  • Documenting findings
  • Practical fire risk assessment exercise


  • Course Material

    Each delegate will be issued with a workbook to assist them both during and after the course will contain information and guidance. The Fire Risk Assessment course is designed to be interactive, allowing delegates the opportunity to develop their skills with the support of the course tutor.

    Course Tutor

    Our health and safety consultants are qualified and experienced professionals with a background in fire safety and risk management, as well as delivering engaging health and safety training. All consultants hold professional membership of the chartered Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH).

    Course Duration

    The Fire Risk Assessment course is delivered over two full days.

    Certification

    Delegates will be awarded a certificate of attendance upon successful completion of the course. A short, multiple choice questionnaire will be undertaken to confirm delegates' knowledge and understanding.
