CITB ConstructionSkills health and safety training courses are designed to give firms in the construction industry and their workers the skills and knowledge that are necessary in order to survive and prosper in today's challenging economic environment, resulting in a safe, professional and fully-qualified UK construction industry.
Unlike some course providers who take back the study books after the course in order to save costs and improve profit margins, all delegates attending our CITB courses get the course study books to take away and keep, which can be extremely useful for reference when back in the workplace after the course.
Along with providing in-house courses, we run the Site Manager's SMSTS, Site Supervisor's SSSTS and the SMSTS Refresher certificates as open courses at locations across the UK including London, Nottingham and Warrington.

Our CITB Construction Skills Courses
The Site Management Safety Training Scheme course is intended for project managers, site managers and senior supervisors as well as proprietors of smaller companies. Client-based personnel would also benefit from attending the course.
The 2-day SMSTS Refresher is a course for those who have passed the full 5-day SMSTS course within the last five years (and can provide proof of attendance), and wish to bring their knowledge up to date with regards to changes to health and safety practices and health and safety legislation.
The Site Supervisors Safety Training Scheme course is intended for those who have, or are about to acquire, supervisory responsibilities on a construction site.
After passing one of the CITB qualifications above, a number of delegates will then continue to progress their health and safety knowledge by taking higher construction qualifications such as the NEBOSH Construction Certificate. Along with meeting the academic requirements to apply for Technician membership (Tech IOSH) of IOSH (the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health), gaining the NEBOSH Construction Certificate will give delegates a more detailed knowledge of construction site safety issues such as COSHH (hazardous substances), manual handling, movement of people and vehicles, excavation work etc. It will also provide information on relevant health and safety legislation and site risk assessments.
For more information on the NEBOSH Construction Certificate qualification, please visit the NEBOSH section of our site by clicking on the 'NEBOSH' tab at the top of the page.
