Brief Company Overview and History

Associated Training & Consultancy has been training for over 20 years and was part of the Associated Group containing marketing and exhibitions businesses.

In 2003 Associated Training sold off the marketing and exhibition companies and merged with Sterling Consultancy, a business partner for many previous years, to focus exclusively on training, blended learning and development.

This synergy has been highly successful creating a huge resource base and wider client portfolio.

The business has 3 x commercial operations with a total of 32 x team members - working regularly on shared provisions and collaborative stratagem:

    Innovative use of Actors - Real Play

    We regularly employ professional, highly skilled actors for specific management and client interface scenarios to offer a powerful instrument on how to deal with challenging situations and apply learning. Our main innovation is to invite the delegation to participate in the direction of the actors before and during the sessions, known as Forum Theatre.

    Online eLearning and Blended Learning

    We can combine conventional learning methods with e-learning to create a blend of the best elements of both. We also have 'On-line' and 'eLearning' facilities where clients can access details on course attendances, course notes and materials, schedules and behaviour profiler facilities. We can also develop a provision where we can offer on-line training sessions either 'real-time' or pre-recorded that deliver to any client anywhere in the world bespoke programmes via download services.

    Profilers

    We offer a range of profilers, including LIFO, MBTI and Social Styles that increase self-awareness and help individuals, teams and organisations capitalise on strengths and face up to a work on limitations and cultural issues. They also provide any leader with a detailed picture of the 'motivational influences' of their direct reports who attend our courses.

    Large Library of Material

    Over 20 years we have developed an enviable electronic library of learning material contained on our server which is constantly being updated and renewed. We have a very wide range of subject matter from stress management techniques to step-by step guides on delivering a successful presentation.

    Bespoke Solution Design

    Over 80% of our courses are designed to meet with a detailed specific brief from a client - this means that we are adept at creating and modifying course sessions to suit the exact requirements - including group sizes, cultural preferences, diversity needs and time schedules.
